These terms govern your use of spark-stories.com and any purchases you make through our platform. By placing an order or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these terms. We've tried to keep the language clear and straightforward - if anything is confusing, please reach out to us at legal@spark-stories.com and we'll explain it in plain language.
Spark Stories provides a platform for creating personalized children's books. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. When you create a book, you provide personalization details (such as a child's name and age) that we use solely for the purpose of generating your custom product.
You agree not to use our service for any unlawful purpose, to submit content that is defamatory or offensive, or to attempt to reverse-engineer our book generation process. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these conditions.
All prices on our website are displayed in EUR and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm your purchase. Payment is processed securely through Stripe - we never store your credit card details on our servers.
Once you complete a purchase, you'll receive an order confirmation by email. Your order enters production within 48 hours. Because each book is custom-made, we cannot modify or cancel an order once production has begun.
If your book arrives damaged, misprinted, or otherwise defective, contact us within 14 days of delivery. We'll either reprint and reship the book at no additional cost or issue a full refund - whichever you prefer. Please include photos of the issue so we can improve our quality control.
Digital PDF purchases can be refunded within 48 hours of purchase, provided the download link has not been accessed. Because personalized products are made to your specifications, we generally cannot offer refunds for change of mind. This does not affect your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law.
All story content, illustrations, designs, and software on spark-stories.com are owned by Spark Stories or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. When you purchase a book, you receive a personal, non-commercial license to enjoy the finished product. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell the book content, illustrations, or any part thereof.
The personalization data you provide (names, ages) remains yours. We do not claim ownership of that information and use it only to fulfill your order, as described in our Privacy Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spark Stories shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our service or products. Our total liability for any claim related to a purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for that specific order.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure our website is available and error-free, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance windows are communicated in advance when possible.
These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence, and you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions under local law.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
