Before you choose

The questions we hear most

Both books share the same care: the child's illustrated portrait, 50 pages, the 21.5 × 21.5 cm square format. Hero is the playful adventure: an extraordinary gift, a costume, a city to save. Explorer is the educational adventure: four real African countries, real animals, true facts. For a child who runs around the living room in a cape, choose Hero. For a curious mind who asks a thousand questions, Explorer.

Discover the Hero book in detail→

In Hero, your child discovers one of eight powers, composes a costume and saves their city: suspense, courage, a victory well earned. In Explorer, they cross Africa with their family: the pyramids of Giza, the lions of the Maasai Mara, the dunes of Namibia, with true facts woven into the pages. Two different tones, the same emotion the moment they recognise their face.

Discover the Explorer book in detail→

Yes, that is the heart of both books. You share a photo, and we compose their illustrated portrait: their face, their hairstyle, their smile. That portrait follows them on every page, as a hero or as an explorer. You see the portrait before continuing, and you can redo it until it is just right. The photo is deleted immediately afterwards, never stored, never shared.

Both stories are written for every child aged 3 to 11: the tone, the vocabulary and the scale of the adventure follow the exact age you enter. For a little one, the sentences turn short and gentle, perfect for bedtime reading. For an older child, the story grows into a true tale. Emma and Leo, whom you will meet on this page, are simply our examples.

Both books follow the same pricing: softcover at €57, hardcover at €69. The price includes the composition of the story, the illustration of every page, printing in Europe on FSC paper and delivery. The 21.5 × 21.5 cm square format and the 50 pages are identical in both cases.

Creating it takes about fifteen minutes. Printing and delivery then take 5 to 12 working days, depending on your location and the shipping option you choose. For a birthday or for Christmas, allow two to three weeks of margin for peace of mind.

Yes, that is exactly what the gift card is for. You give the value of the book, and the parents compose the story themselves: the photo, the age, the power or the route. The card is valid for two years and works for both books.

Everything to know

The personalized book for kids, in a few words

A personalized book where your child is the main character

A personalized book for kids, at Spark Stories, is not a name pasted onto a cover. It is an entire story built around the child: their face on every page thanks to their illustrated portrait, their real everyday world as the starting point, and an adventure that belongs to them alone. You share a photo, we compose their portrait, and they recognise themselves from the very first page.

Two stories are on offer. Hero: the child discovers an extraordinary gift among eight powers, composes a costume and saves their city. Explorer: they cross four real African countries with their family, meet the lions of the Maasai Mara and climb the dunes of Sossusvlei. In both cases, 50 carefully illustrated pages, a 21.5 × 21.5 cm square format, and a softcover or hardcover.

The birthday and Christmas gift that never misses

Finding a gift for a child that will not end up at the bottom of a toy chest is the whole challenge. A book where the child is the main character plays in another league: it is the gift they ask for at bedtime, the one they show their friends, the one the parents keep preciously once they have grown. Grandparents, godparents, uncles and aunts: this is the gift that marks a birthday or a Christmas.

And if you do not know every detail, the photo, the little habits, the power that suits them, the gift card lets the parents compose the book themselves, whenever they wish. It is valid for two years and works for both stories.

Hero or Explorer: how to choose

Both books adapt to the child's age, from 3 to 11. The real question is their character. Hero speaks to children who invent worlds, run with a cape and dream of saving the neighbourhood: an epic with suspense and a victory well earned. Explorer speaks to curious minds who ask a thousand questions: real countries, real animals, true facts they will proudly repeat at school.

In both cases, everything happens online, in about fifteen minutes. You review every page before printing, the text as well as the illustrations, and nothing goes to print without your approval. The book is then printed in Europe on FSC paper and delivered in 5 to 12 working days.

“There are two ways to fill a child with wonder: entrust them with a power, or open up the world.”
