Twelve countries

Twelve countries. Four stops. One great family journey.

Every place in the book is real. Choose the four stops of the journey: each one shapes the pages, the animals and the wonders your child and their loved ones will meet.

Ages 3 to 11

A journey that grows with them, from 3 to 11

Giving the book to a 4-year-old or a 9-year-old? We shape every page to their age: the tone, the sentences, and the true facts tucked into the story. Here are two real excerpts from Emma's book, told for each age.

Illustration from Emma's book: on the Maasai Mara savannah, Emma and Mum watch a peaceful lion from the jeep

The jeep rolled to a gentle stop in the golden grass. A big lion was resting in the sun, calm as a king. “Look, Emma,” whispered Mum. Emma opened her eyes wide. The lion gave a great big yawn, and Emma smiled from ear to ear.

Last hesitations

For children aged 3 to 11, and the story genuinely adapts to the age you enter. For a child of 3 to 5, the journey stays gentle: short sentences made for bedtime reading, friendly animal encounters, nothing scary. From age 6, it becomes a true traveller's tale, with true facts about each country, a travel notebook and landscapes that invite real questions. The vocabulary and sentence length follow the same curve.

Yes, every single one. The pyramids of Giza, the lions of the Maasai Mara, the mountain gorillas of Rwanda, the penguins of Boulders Beach in South Africa: each stop names real landmarks and real animals, in the country where they actually live. The little facts woven into the story are true, chosen for the child's age. No vague scenery, no made-up places.

The book follows one journey through four countries, chosen among twelve: Morocco, Senegal, Ghana, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa and Madagascar. We suggest a first route (Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, the route of Emma's book) and you swap any stop for another in a click. Each country shapes its chapter: the landscapes, the animals, the wonders.

Yes, that is the heart of the book. You share a photo, and we compose their illustrated portrait: their face, their hairstyle, their smile. That portrait travels with them on every page, from the souks of Marrakech to the dunes of Namibia. You see the portrait before continuing, and you can redo it until it is just right.

Yes. Grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters: the people you choose appear in the story alongside the child, sharing the journey. A lovely touch when the book is a gift from a grandmother or a godfather: you are in the adventure too.

It is used solely to compose your child's illustrated portrait, then deleted immediately. Never stored, never shared. You can also delete the portraits from your account area, or keep them to create more books.

Two formats to choose from: softcover at €57, hardcover at €69. The price includes the composition of the story, the illustration of every page, printing in Europe on FSC paper and delivery. The 21.5 × 21.5 cm square format and the 50 pages are identical in both cases.

Yes, that is exactly what the gift card is for. You give the value of the book, and the parents compose the journey themselves: the photo, the age, the four countries. The card is valid for two years, plenty of time to plan the route together.

Everything remains editable after ordering, the text as well as the illustrations. You adjust each page until it truly looks like them, and nothing goes to print without your approval.

Creating it takes about fifteen minutes. Printing and delivery then take 5 to 12 working days, depending on your location and the shipping option you choose. For a birthday, allow two to three weeks of margin for peace of mind.

Yes. The book can be composed in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Handy for families living between two languages, or for a little cousin growing up abroad.

Everything to know

The personalized Africa adventure book, in a few words

A personalized book where your child travels across Africa

A personalized Africa adventure book for kids is not an atlas with a name pasted onto the cover. It is a whole journey built around your child: their face on every page thanks to their illustrated portrait, a route of four real countries chosen among twelve, and the family members you invite along for the ride. The child is not reading about a faraway traveller: they are living a great journey of their own.

Every stop is precise and real. In Egypt, the pyramids of Giza and a felucca on the Nile. In Kenya, the lions and giraffes of the Maasai Mara. In Rwanda, the mountain gorillas of the Volcanoes forest. In South Africa, Table Mountain and the penguins of Boulders Beach. Across 50 illustrated pages, your child meets landscapes and animals in the countries where they actually belong, with true facts sized for their age.

The gift from grandparents and godparents that lands every time

Finding a gift for a child aged 3 to 11 that will not end up at the bottom of a toy chest is the whole challenge. The book of their great journey plays in another league: it is the gift they ask for at bedtime, the one they trace with their finger on the map, the one parents keep preciously once they have grown. Grandparents, godparents, uncles and aunts: it is the gift that opens the world.

The story genuinely adapts to the child's age. At 3, 4 or 5, the journey stays tender and reassuring, perfect for bedtime reading. From 6 to 11, it becomes a true traveller's tale, with a travel notebook, real wonders and facts they will repeat at school. And the family can come along in the pages: a grandmother in the hot-air balloon over the Maasai Mara says more than any postcard.

The 21.5 × 21.5 cm square format, the softcover at €57 or hardcover at €69, the FSC paper printed in Europe: every detail is designed for an object that travels through the years, not for one more gadget.

How to compose their Africa adventure book

Everything happens online, in about fifteen minutes. You enter the first name and the age, and share a photo: we compose your child's illustrated portrait. You then draw their route: four countries among the twelve of the catalogue, each with its real landmarks and animals. You can invite family members into the story, and add the little details that make the journey theirs.

Before printing, you review everything. Every page remains editable, the text as well as the illustrations, and nothing goes to print without your approval. Once the book is approved, it is printed in Europe and delivered within 5 to 12 working days. All that is left is to watch their finger follow the route on the map, stop by stop.

“What wonders are waiting at the far end of the world? Golden sand, wonderful people and unforgettable animals.”
